The plastic or silicone lens replaces the natural lens of the eye. Since the incision is made for replacing the natural lens, the procedure is also known by the other names as CLE (clear lens extraction).  The CLE eye correction surgery is best for treating or correcting severe farsightedness or near-sightedness. Besides, it is also used for treating thin corneas, minor eye problems such as dry eyes.
