Introducing the LiveSOMA.com Dogs of SoMa Wall Calendar!

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard us mention our little Charity project for the Holiday Season. We’ve been talking about designing a Wall Calendar inspired by the recent success of our “Cutest Dog in SoMa” Photo Contest.

I am very excited to announce the release of our 2012 Dogs of SoMa Wall Calendar with beautiful photos by local dog photographer, Alessandro DeSogos.

Alessandro and I have spent the past month and change wandering the streets of South of Market, trying to capture the essence of being a dog in the City. We traveled to some of the hottest doggie spots in SoMa, trying to depict the fun and carefree lifestyle of our four-legged friends.

I think that what we have captured is a fantastic portrayal of said lifestyle, and starting this week, you will start to see this Calendar available at some of our local pet services shops.

I would like to take a moment to both thank and point out the printer, who generously worked with us to benefit Episcopal Community Services, who will receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this beautiful calendar.

After researching the best possible rates from all over South of Market and San Francisco, I must say that 148 Print (148 Townsend St.) was definitely one of the best. But it wasn’t the rates that persuaded me to go with them, it was their interest in getting involved for the sake of helping the Community.

It didn’t take long for me to convince them to enlist their services. In fact, I don’t even think “convincing” is the word that I should use as they pretty much jumped at the opportunity.

If you need to do any printing jobs (from large format posters to magazines/booklets or even postcards, fliers or business cards) I HIGHLY recommend that you check them out.

In addition to twelve months of cute SoMa Dogs, I’ve also included two full pages (at the end) of dog-friendly neighborhood information including where to take your dog on walks, grab a bite, or even give them a bath.
