LiveSOMA Elected to the South of Market Business Association Board!

I’m excited to announce that I’ve continued my domination of all things volunteer in South of Market by being elected to the 2011 Board of the South of Market Business Association. 

If you’re not familiar with SOMBA, I hope to learn you in the months to come. It’s a great organization of local business owners who are devoted to helping each other in an effort to build a stronger community.

Originally formed in 1992, SOMBA evolved into the South of Market Foundation, which then changed its name to Urban Solutions. While the business association has gone through several iterations in the past, the newly revitalized SOMBA – with its own bylaws, officers and committees – possesses an independent structure. SOMBA’s dues-paying members are intent upon growing the organization into the most effective merchant association in the city of San Francisco.

I’m very excited to have found an organization that shares similar goals for the greater SOMA neighborhood, and I look forward to helping in any way I can. 

For starters, I invite you to join SOMBA if you run a local small business. It’s only $75 per year, and offers you access to a centralized network of other businesses all over South of Market.
