UPDATE: More District 6 Campaign Videos Released Today

Update:

After I posted these videos this morning, I received a Tweet from Team Anna Conda, notifying me that they’re currently working on a video for their campaign. He also directed my attention to their current video which you can view here. It’s more of an introduction to Glendon “Anna Conda” Hyde, and her platform. It also tells you how you can get involved with the campaign:

Original Post from June 23rd:

I love when our content inadvertently has a theme for the day! This post relates both to Pride AND the District 6 Supervisor Race

As I mentioned earlier, it’s a big day for the District 6 Supervisor Candidates as they’ll be duking it out this evening at the SFYD Candidate Forum.

This morning, I found two different Candidate Videos in my inbox. Both Jim Meko and David Villa-Lobos have sent me content throughout this early race (as well as a number of other candidates), and today they’ve released new videos.

Villa-Lobos isn’t participating in the Candidate Forum this evening, but his video depicts a ‘man of the people’, in a mustard yellow tint (and a clubby soundtrack).

Jim Meko has now released his second video where he tugs at your sentimental heart while discussing what Pride means to him, and also invites you to his next party/fund raising event.

I know it’s still very early on in the race, but I’m beginning to wonder why none of the other candidates have done anything to promote their stance? Or perhaps they’re promoting themselves to other outlets? I’m no expert on political campaigns, but I would consider myself a little more ‘in-the-know’ than your average resident, so if I haven’t seen coverage, I would guess that most people haven’t seen it either. Maybe they should discuss that at tonight’s forum in between jabs.

It is our goal at LiveSOMA.com to help build a stronger community by sharing local issues and ideas in an open forum. We are not endorsing any single candidate as we have invited each to contribute. It is at their sole discretion as to whether they contribute or not.
