Jim Meko Kicks Off His Video Campaign

The folks behind Jim Meko’s Campaign for District 6 Supervisor have certainly gotten a head start on the race! To my knowledge, no other District 6 candidates have created an official campaign video this early in the race; certainly not any of the candidates who feel that LiveSOMA.com- a community website for South of Market- is a good place to share their video with the neighborhood. In HD, no less!

Personally, I don’t know who I’ll vote for, and I will not officially endorse a single candidate because I believe in giving each candidate an unbiased outlet to share their message with the community. I do like the message of this video though.

My favorite soundbyte in the video:

What matters to a Filipino family living in an alley over near Sixth Street, is the same thing that matters to people living in condos over on Rincon Hill, or folks living in the North Mission, or even out on Treasure Island. They’re just looking for a decent quality of life, they’re looking for a little bit of respect, and they’re looking for somebody in City Hall that’s going to want to listen to them.

I’ll let you be the judge though. What do you think?
