Fourth Street Bar Closed…

File this under ‘sorry I’m late, but do you really care?’ Based on the few times I’ve been to Fourth St. Bar & Deli, the lack of customers leads me to believe you don’t.

For the past month or so, the Fourth Street Bar, on the corner of Fourth and Mission, has been closed for some ‘minor renovations’. It’s a decent sports bar in an excellent location, but for some reason, they’ve never seemed to be all that busy.

I’ve eaten there once, and I was disappointed, but I have gone there to watch a few games in the past, and the experience was enjoyable. It’s one of those places where you don’t have to know anyone during a big game because everyone is sitting there cheering on their team, and having a good time. I guess they have some fierce competition from Jillian’s less than a block away in the Metreon. There are also quite a few other sports-related bars in SOMA to choose from.

I’ll try to follow up with them in a couple of weeks to see the new renovations.
