Moya, Oh Boya

Announcing the arrival of yet another unique restaurant in South of Market! A new Ethiopian Restaurant, Moya is set to open soon June 19th on Folsom Street across from Victoria Manalo Draves Park. Located in the ground floor of the Park Hotel SRO, this is one of a number of new establishments that are working to make Folsom Street an even more unique destination than usual.
Sure they’re known for the clubs and crazy festivals, but Folsom Street is now home to a Farm-to-Table Restaurant, a Fondue Eatery and now Ethiopian Cuisine- all in the span of a couple of blocks! It’s great to see so many new restaurants popping up, and I welcome Ethiopian food with open arms.
To be completely honest, I’ve never had Ethiopian Food in San Francisco. For one thing, there are only about 5 restaurants that serve that type of cuisine in the City, and none of them are all that close. At least they’ll have an edge on the marketplace for anyone who’s craving that specific spicy edge to their meal.
I tried to get some more information, but the door wasn’t open when I went by, and I have yet to get any contact info. I’ll keep you posted…
