“Anna Conda,” A New Grassroots Candidate for D6 Supervisor

There’s definitely an interesting group of people who are throwing their hats into the D6 Election this year! I really love the diversity of the candidates who all seem to share a common interest in making a positive difference in our community.
Yesterday, I received an email from Adam, who’s working with Glendon Hyde on her newly announced District 6 Supervisor Campaign:
LiveSOMA,
After two decades of supporting the rights of marginalized citizens as an activist and community leader, Glendon “Anna Conda” Hyde today announced her candidacy for San Francisco District 6 Supervisor. The announcement follows four months of generous support from volunteers and donors.
“I’m pleasantly surprised at the number of supporters, volunteers, and donors who are coming to events, pledging their support, writing checks, and giving time to the campaign effort,” says Conda/Hyde. ”When I’m supervisor, I’ll fight for affordable housing and help small businesses retain a stake in their neighborhoods. I’ll work to maintain public safety in our communities and continued access to programs critical to our families,” added Conda/Hyde.
Since December, Conda/Hyde’s campaign has experienced a surge in small donations and an outpouring of support in the form of volunteers. “The response from the progressive and artist communities has been very enthusiastic,” says Conda/Hyde. After exceeding fundraising goals and with the aid of volunteers, the next phase of the campaign is underway, which will include establishing a campaign headquarters in the South of Market neighborhood.
