I may not consider myself an expert in Crepes, but this food cart appears to be one of the more ‘healthy’ options on the streets of SOMA.
According to their website:
Creperie Saint Germain is San Francisco’s healthlicious street food vendor of sweet and savory crepes made with organic buckwheat and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Organic buckwheat is a highly energizing and nutrious fruit seed rich in magnesium and dietary fiber that has a more distinctive flavor than wheat.
As most other street vendors who serve food tend to stick with not-necessarily-healthy-but-very-delicious menu options, The Creperie tries to hit the downtown/financial district crowd with a more healthy (and still delicious) alternative. They also offer weekday lunchtime service, in addition to the late-night hours on weekends.
With all the corporate offices, as well as a number of bars and clubs in that area of SOMA, I would imagine this is a very successful venture. Plus, they’ve recently added a roof area so that they can be open “rain or shine” during San Francisco’s rainy season!
