Oil Can Henry’s seems have some pretty smart owners, as they’ve figured out a way to utilize some of their empty space by renting it out to some food vendors. It doesn’t hurt that much of the time these vendors are out there, Oil Can Henry’s is closed for business.

Just across the parking lot from Da Beef, sits another unique food cart called Spencer on the Go. It looks like a taco truck, but when you move in closer, you learn there’s nothing Mexican about this vendor. In fact, it’s a French Take-Away!

Open near Da Beef, for similar late-night hours, these vendors have created a small food court on the corner of 7th and Folsom that gives you more affordable, quicker options to eat & run in between your bar/club hopping.

Spencer on the Go is the mobile Bistro sister to Chez Spencer, which is located just outside of SOMA at 14th and Folsom.  Both locations feature menu creations from owner and Executive Chef Laurent Katgely. The Mobile Location is billed by their website as “a fun and inexpensive alternative to high end French dining.” With menu items such as Ratatouille, Truffle Boeuf Bourguignon and Frog Legs and Curry, it’s easy to see that you’re getting an authentic French meal for under $12!

If you’re out and about in the Folsom Street district of SOMA, just remember there’s inexpensive options for your ‘on the go’ needs, just up the street.
