SF Giants FanFest 2010 Turned Out to Be A Great Day

Even though weather forecasts called for a ton of rain all weekend, it turned out to be perfect weather for the San Francisco Giants FanFest event at AT&T Park on Saturday afternoon. I showed up rather late for the event, so I didn’t have a chance to get any autographs because the lines were literally at least a quarter mile long.
Instead, we walked around the stadium, all over the field, in the dugouts, and everywhere else. The field was covered in dirt due to a motorcross event last week. I was glad it wasn’t raining because that would have created a muddy mess.
Overall, it was a great experience for any Giants fans. It’s such a beautiful stadium so it was quite exciting to be able to walk out onto the field, even though there was no grass. Lots of fans were excitedly running into the warning track and pretending to catch a home run before it went over the fence. Others were playing catch with their kids or running the base path. It was also really cool to see players walking around just like the fans, saying hello and even stopping to chat.
