C.K. Deli Has Left SOMA…

Last August, I came across some sort of mystery deli with no sign over on Harrison Street near the corner of 3rd. It turned out that the deli was called C.K. Deli, and it was quite an unusual place. The other day, I walked by this area and noticed that not only is there still no sign outside this deli, but in fact, there’s no deli! It’s gone, and turned into a space for lease. I don’t know much about owning a business, so I won’t pretend to, but when you’re running a deli from the inside of a garage- while you have a perfectly good space next door complete with a big window and entry door- I would think that it’s only a matter of time before you close your doors for good.
As it were, I barely found this place, and only because I walk around the neighborhood looking at everything. Hopefully the next business to come into this location will learn from the past and add a sign, use the interior space rather than the garage, and also serve decent food.
