I took a walk down to the waterfront today to try and catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels test flight. While I was waiting for their flight to start (the newspapers said it would be from noon – 5 p.m., it was more like 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.), I was looking all over the sky and I came across these folks on top of one of the Bay Bridge spans.
At first I wondered if they were just random people who somehow managed to sneak up to the bridge without getting arrested. After looking at the photo closer, you can see that they have Hard Hats on, so they obviously were workers.
I’m not sure if they were working, or if they just were fortunate enough to be allowed up there when the Angels were messing around over the bay. I’ll post some pics of the Blue Angels later on, or tomorrow, but I did get a few of the jets flying over the Bay Bridge. The men were down by then, but that would probably be pretty cool to stand up there and watch!
