UPDATE: UPS Store Closed Due To Water Damage

Update:

I walked by the UPS Store on 4th Street this morning and noticed they had a notice in the window saying that due to internal water damage, they will be closed today.  Save yourself the time to go down there, and head over to their other location on Howard & Main.

Here’s the notice from their website:

JULY 9, 2009 STORE CLOSED UPDATE

The 4th Street location is temporaily closed while clean-up and restoration take place. We will re-open this week with store hours forthcoming. Mailbox customers are advised to call (415) 615-6968 ahead of time or onsite for assistance. All other customers may use our sister location at 182 Howard Street, (415) 495-6963, for other services.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.

I’ve used the UPS Store and Fed Ex/Kinkos a number of times, and I must say that I prefer this place to the latter.  If only UPS were as reliable of a shipping company.  Their store is very efficient and helpful, versus the Fed Ex Store I recently went to where the staff was convoluted and confused, not to mention overcrowded.  The UPS Store even makes keys for you.
