Hi Dive Facebook Page••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I came across this place a couple weeks ago on a walk down by the Embarcadero. It looks like an old bar, but apparently it also serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Last weekend I went down there for brunch to try out their Huevo’s San Francisco. The Vans Warped Tour next door made the people watching more interesting than a normal Saturday morning down by the waterfront. We were able to grab a table outside, on the side of the bar. My initial thought was that the bar was pretty dark for brunch, but sitting outside on a beautiful morning was a much better option.

As I said above, I went for the Huevos San Francisco, but was tempted to get the breakfast burrito. I went with the huevos, but was fortunate to be able to try the burrito as well when my wife ordered it. I was definitely happy with my choice. Not that the burrito was bad, because I didn’t think it was at all. However, it had a lot of avocado in it, which is something that I somewhat of a spotty relationship with.

The Huevos were really good. I’m not sure if the chili was canned or homemade, but I found myself wondering if I could’ve just made it myself and saved a little money, as that was the predominant flavor. It was definitely tasty and juicy though. I also love the fact that both dishes came with three side condiments all of which were properly utilized on my part.
One thing that always annoys me about breakfast at restaurants is when they give you a little shot-sized glass of juice before your meal so that you really have to conserve it until the meal comes, otherwise you run out and either have to get more or drink water. The juice glasses here were pretty small.
Overall, I would definitely go back again, and probably even bring more people.
