As of today, Los Compadres Taco Truck is situated in the parking lot on the corner of Spear St. & Folsom. It used to be parked on Tehama Street though, so it’s possible that they could move in the future.

I was walking around the neighborhood today, and I stumbled on a little back street, Tehama Street, between 1st and 2nd streets.  Lo and behold, I stumbled upon a Taco Truck!  One of the few things that almost always cause me to stop dead in my tracks is a Taco Truck.

Between that, and the fact that it was past lunchtime and I hadn’t eaten, I decided to order a burrito (even though I ate at Tres Agave’s last night).  I’m glad that my killer instinct for all things Mexican prompted me to order, because I was delighted, to say the least.  In fact, that burrito was one of the best (if not THE best) $5 burrito that I’ve ever eaten.  That’s even beside the fact that I ordered a Chicken Burrito and they had run out of chicken!  [editor's note: They had literally just run out of chicken. The guy before me (and also pictured above) notified me, when I walked away, that he had ordered the last one.]

I settled for a “Super Vegi-Burrito”, which featured rice, bean, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese and guacamole.  I think they also added a little ground beef for the hell of it, but I’m not sure.  Either way, it was very, very good.  I don’t normally eat an entire burrito, but I was forced to do so this afternoon.  I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re ever wandering around that area!
