The Peanut Gallery is a small local art gallery on Folsom Street. I haven’t been inside, but I’ve walked by a number of times when it is closed, and it looks like they have some pretty interesting exhibits. For more information, I would check out the Peanut Gallery blog because it seems like they don’t have much going on at their website as of yet.
